DISCUSSION FORUM

The Discussion Forum is an extension for the Viva Intelligence Portal™. The purpose of the Discussion Forum is to increase collaboration within the Viva Intelligence Portal™ by enabling discussion in a bulletin board style format. All BI /CI information, comments and expert opinions included are stored logically and can be found through the ”one window” approach of the Viva Intelligence Portal.

USAGE MONITOR

The Usage Monitor is an extension module to the Viva Intelligence Portal™ that creates real-time usage reports. The Usage Monitor makes it possible to get accurate information about the Portal usage in order to:

• Measure the effectiveness of Business / Competitive Intelligence
• Make better decisions regarding further development
• Focus on internal marketing and training efforts: for instance, are there locations or groups that are expected to use the Portal but do not use it at the moment?

INFO SOURCE INTEGRATOR

The Info Source Integrator enables the Viva Intelligence Portal™ to automatically receive news feeds from various sources such as Factiva, Esmerk, or public web sites. The Info Source Integrator adds a Queue module into the Portal, which is designed to allow maximum control and ease of use for the Analyst to review and process automatically any articles received from a variety of sources.

Content is automatically inserted and categorized into the Portal – no copy-paste needed. The main benefits of Info Source Integrator are:

• Efficiency in gathering and categorizing information
• More time for value-added analyses
• Possibility for monitoring selected web pages automatically
• Only one interface is needed throughout the news gathering process – the Viva Intelligence Portal

WHO-KNOWS-WHAT

The Who-Knows-What expert directory extension is targeted at organizations where internal expertise regarding the operating environment needs to be utilized more effectively. Who-Knows-What is a user-friendly, easily searchable database tool that can be a part of the Viva Intelligence Portal™ or a stand-alone application e.g. in the corporate Intranet.

MOBILE INTERFACE

The Viva Intelligence Portal™ interface can also be optimized for mobile use. The users can then utilize the Portal by accessing it with their handheld devices, such as Nokia Communicator or any PDA device.
